A new and exciting race introduced to Classe Figaro, L’Aventura will see its first version of the race kick off in Bourgenay France on the 23rd August 2026. Im thrilled to announce I will be partnering with Joss Creswell and DigiLab for this incredible race.
As a brand-new double-handed event on the Figaro Beneteau 3 circuit, L'Aventura serves as the fourth and final event of the French Elite Offshore Racing Championship. With over 2,300 nautical miles across two major ocean legs, this race isnt like the previous sprint legs we have raced before. Its an ocean Marathon that is split into two stages.
Leg 1 - Port Bourgenay, France to Lagos, Portugal (via Madeira) — 1,600 NM
Starting in Port Bourgenay the fleet will head across the Bay of Biscay and after rounding Cape Finnisterre heading south to the island of Madeira. The final stretch of this leg will be heading back north to the south coast of Portugal where the finish line will be off the beautiful town of Lagos. This Leg will be fun and fast, hopefully picking up some trade winds off the coast of Portugal.
Leg 2: Lagos, Portugal to Île d'Yeu , France — 785 NM
After a small stopover and refresh in Lagos, Portugal. The fleet will depart for the second stage of the race and head North on their route back to France. The Challenge will be a Tactical battle back up the Iberian coast and through Atlantic weather systems to finish at Port Joinville on Île d'Yeu.
Im thrilled to be racing this event and collaborating with Joss Creswell and his sponsored Figaro Digilab. After a busy season of Figaro racing and working together , we both feel excited and ready to compete in this race.
Stay tuned for race infos, updates and trackers. This will be one to follow!
